The Basic Life Support (BLS) is intended for Healthcare Providers. The course will teach you the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide high quality CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe,timely and effective manner.

Once you have completed the online course, you will have 90 days for the skills session to be taken. After successfully passing the skills, the student will receive a 2 year digital certificate.

This course teaches the lifesaving skills of adult Hands-Only CPR , child CPR, infant CPR with breaths and mild and severe airway obstruction.

Heartsaver First Aid teaches students critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services arrive.

The ASHI Basic Life Support (BLS) is training for healthcare providers and professional responders how to recognize a life-threatening emergency, how to provide basic life support, and what to do in case of an airway obstruction or choking.

Individuals who are not healthcare providers or professional rescuers but who desire,or are required, to be certified in CPR and the use of an AED.

Basic First Aid course help students develop basic first aid knowledge, skills, and the confidence to respond

The Child and Babysitting safety program gives teenagers and young adults everything they need to know for safe and successful babysitting. Knowledge to start their business, to relating with parents and children, to key safety, care giving, and first aid tips. The magazine-format CABS guide and video make learning fun.

Respiratory Consulting of Mississippi & CPR, (RCM) provides respiratory care education to help increase the confidence levels of your staff providing respiratory care services.

Requirements to attend the BLS Instructor Class


1. Have a current BLS PROVIDER card . If you need a current card, you can schedule a BLS with me at a
discounted price.

2. Complete the American Heart Association’s BLS Essential Instructor Online Course. The course can be
purchased at shopcpr.heart.org.

3. Obtain a BLS Provider Manual

4. Obtain a BLS Instructor Manual
One-day class that covers:

2. Program Administration Manual
3. 2020 AHA/ARC CPR & ECC Updates
4. Training Center policies
5. Course administration
6. eCard processing
7. Skills Testing
8. Teaching Prompt
9. Written Exam


Post Class Requirements:

COURSE MONITORING
One of our Training Center Faculty monitors the new instructor deliver their very first class. This helps ensure the quality assurance initiatives of the AHA/ARC while bolstering the confidence of our new instructors. The course monitoring will be completed at a Health Science Consulting facility. The instructor monitoring must be completed within 6 months after the instructor course.

NOTE: Cost does not includes all instructor materials required by AHA including AHA Provider manual, AHA Instructor manual, AHA Instructor Essentials course, and AHA Course DVD.
The course fee does NOT include equipment or supplies needed to teach your first class (manikins, AED trainers, BVMs, student manuals, eCards, and associated student supplies). You may choose to purchase these supplies from us for an additional fee.
